“Barefoot Boy” is a 1938 American drama-comedy film, starring Jackie Moran and Marcia Mae Jones as two young kids who take a barefoot journey across America to find their long lost father.
The movie was directed by Karl Brown, based on the story of the same name written by John Paul Jones. The film follows Jackie and his little sister Marcia Mae Jones as they set off in search of their father whom they have not seen in years.
Along the way, they meet Bradley, an old hobo who helps them navigate their way through the streets of New York City and beyond.
While trying to survive with nothing but their wits and determination, the trio discovers more than just each other – friendship, love and ultimately hope for a better tomorrow.
“Barefoot Boy” is a heartwarming story that shows how far one can go when faced with adversity.
